TEAM LEADER FIELD APPLICATIONS ENGINEER/BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Location: Livonia, MI
A leading distribution company for electronic components is seeking a Team Leader who is a Field Applications Engineer with experience in Business Development. This person will secure new design-in projects to increase in sales in the assigned product area and sales region
Target:
- Promote future growth in relevant product area and sales region through execution of new design-in projects
- Participate in further development of product area and sales region as part of higher-level corporate planning at Rutronik
Responsibility:
- Responsibility for selected product area and sales region:
- Achievement of sales and contribution margin targets
- Securing and transferring projects from design-in to design-win status
- Achievement of the objectives of customer visits
Duties:
- Collect, maintain and monitor project data in Company database
- Process and monitor projects and provide project updates
- Identify technical trends and communicate these to Product Marketing and/or manufacturer
- Supporting marketing campaigns
- Support Sales
- Participate in holding seminars
Customer:
- Conduct customer visits incl. any preparation and follow-up work
- Technical consultation
- Determine new projects
Authority:
- Has the required authority to complete all of the above duties.These include in particular:
- Priority setting when planning visits
- Priority setting when organizing design-in projects
- Individual decision-making on inclusion of Sales, Product Marketing and/or manufacturer
- Induction of new colleagues
- Vocational training of apprentices and students
Degree: BSEE
Salary: Base plus bonus and excellent benefits.
