PRODUCTION & OPERATIONS PLANNING MANAGER

We are retained by a manufacturer of Electronic Cameras and Switching Devices.  They are seeking an experienced Production & Operations Planning Manager to join their growing team. This is a managerial position, a member of the plant staff and in time potentially will be part of the company leadership team.  This is a very strategic position. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a production and operations team, fostering in a harmonious and professional environment. This team consists of production associates, shipping specialist, materials handling specialist and co-op.

Job duties:

  • Oversee operational procedures, ERP system, facility and safety compliance.
  • Always be looking to improve productivity via process/product improvement.
  • Working with engineering for maintenance, manufacturing engineering, manufacturing issues, new product introduction; program management; and quality.
  • Work with the team and delegate/publish in process/finished-goods inventory report, monthly/YTD revenue sales report, and production schedule roll out by week.

Additionally, with the team:

  • Delegate for answering tickets for customer, preparing shipping documents, ASNs, arranging shipment pick-up from suppliers, reviewing customer forecast, and respectively understanding /adjusting supplier forecast with lead-time in consideration.
  • Hold communication meeting with your team and participate in the company management meetings.

Experience:

  • Must have 2 years hands-on planning experience as a supplier to Ford Motor Company.
  • Very familiar with Ford Supplier Portal, and understanding of Ford logistics infrastructure.

Salary and benefits:

Company offers a 401K, medical & dental—no premium deduction from employees pay check–where company pays 100% of the premium, with salary around $95,000 to $100,000 annually and additional potential bonus. Will get 2-wks paid vacation and 5-paid personal days.
