Senior Electrical Engineer

Detroit, MI

Global Supplier of Automotive Electronics is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer. The Engineer will have 2-5 years experience in the following areas and 2-5 years of working experience in the automotive industry:

-          Design of analog/digital circuit board level preferably in Powertrain Electronics (Engine Control Units)

-          Circuit verification and validation

-          Experience with microcontrollers preferably 32bit Freescale family

-          Tolerance and worst case analysis methodologies

-          Basic knowledge of EMC testing procedures and design for EMI compliance

-          DFMEA methodology

-          New product launch support in production

-          Able to successfully communicate technical issues with the Customer

-          Prototype and Warranty Return Troubleshooting

-          Proficiency in lab equipment such as Oscilloscope, power supply, waveform generator, digital multi-meters

PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Design of new circuits

- Perform circuit verification and validation

- Release project documentation for production builds

- Support new product launch

- Support design to cost activities

- Implement design changes to improve manufacturing

- Analyze warranty returns and Implement necessary design changes.

- Prototype troubleshooting

BSEE/MSEE

Salary: Base plus bonus – negotiable
