Field Applications Engineer (Automotive Semiconductor)

We are seeking a Field Applications Engineer for a global leader in semiconductor devices. Field Application Engineers are responsible for technical support of semiconductor sales, including pre-sales design in activity and post-sales support.

This position requires complete mastering of the products, product applications and product policies, and will have direct responsibility for key customer accounts with global visibility. The FAE will support and build relationships at all levels of customer staff from working level to management and directors.

The hired engineer will be responsible for assisting to create sales strategies to penetrate targeted application areas and customer accounts, influencing a customer’s evaluation process toward selecting the Company's semiconductor components. This position keeps assigned accounts informed with the Company's new product information and will develop presentations for customers or prospective customers. Team member’s work together to ensure exceptional customer service. Provide customers and colleagues with technical information on products and services, assists in improving documentation and presentation content. Internal customers require FAE knowledge and input for developing new and innovative solutions.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Strong communication, interpersonal and technical skills are required, and are augmented by the candidate’s aptitude for customer service and relationship development. In addition the candidate should have hardware and software experience in automotive applications, and understand automotive design processes. FAE’s must be able to provide detailed hardware analysis, schematic reviews, and debug customer issues at system and component level. The candidate should have embedded software experience in both 'C' and assembly languages for 8, 16 and 32-bit architectures.
