A world class manufacturer of automotive LED electronics is seeking an experienced hardware design engineer. The ideal candidate would have 5+ years in designing next generation electronics on the vehicle. The company is well respected globally and can offer a lifelong career. This position will specify, design, test and validate circuitry used in the various markets served by the Company.

  • Lead architecture choice and design activities for digital and mixed signal systems, with emphasis on serial/parallel interfaces, microcontroller integration and digital control of power converters.
  • Lead design project “cradle to grave”, from ideation through validation.
  • Realize short-term product design goals, while simultaneously work on mid- to long term technology roadmaps and advanced technologies.
  • Projects will be related to automotive lighting, connected illumination and mobile technologies, amongst others.
  • Highly visible R&D position in a growing product area with advanced technologies


  • 5+ years position relevant experience, with at least 8 years total experience in the electronics field.
  • Working knowledge of serial busses, microcontroller implementation, firmware/software
  • Excellent communication skills; ability to work with vendors and customers
  • Ability to think conceptually and strategically, while at the same time willing and able to do hands-on work in the lab.
  • Proficiency with Altium Designer, SPICE and HDL-type simulators is a plus
  • Experience with automotive design and validation requirements is a plus
  • Working knowledge of semiconductor device architecture is a plus
