Position Summary:  Implement design and development of software for automotive instrumentation and electronics modules such as Body Control Modules, Instrument Clusters, and In-vehicle Network Gateways.

Job Duties

  • Liaises with key customers regarding product performance, problems and system design.
  • Investigates and resolves difficult and complex product problems by applying knowledge of design principals, procedures and practices.
  • Develop custom software solutions based on customer requirements.
  • Conducts field-tests and troubleshoots complex technical problems
  • Participates in product reviews, design/enhancement projects and testing
  • Participate on a team of software engineers in design and development of real-time software to be embedded in automotive modules.
  • Implement requirements through design, coding, debugging, validation, release and maintenance phases.
  • Interface with internal groups such as electrical design, validation, testing, manufacturing and quality under direction of software project leaders.

Job skills and Requirements:

  • AUTOSAR knowledge and hands-on experience in porting or configuring AUTOSAR stacks.
  • 2 – 5 + years of experience in low level device driver design and development for embedded microcontrollers. (excluding system testing and project coordination experience)
  • C/C++ programming skills, Firmware, Device Driver Development knowledge, and EB TresOS
  • Experience with C-compilers, linkers, and build scripts, debug probes and flash programmers.
  • Experience in automotive development of in-vehicle networks (CAN, LIN and etc.)
  • Familiarity with control modules, junction boxes, instrument cluster displays or HUDS is a plus
  • Knowledge of Quality and Process Improvement models such as SEI-CMMI. (not required but preferred)
  • Familiarity with ISO26262 and Cybersecurity (not required but preferred)

Degree:  BSEE/BSCE or equivalent

Travel:  Occasional travel to customer sites
