Regional Sales Manager

Detroit, MI (work out of home)

This leader will manage strategic accounts in the Detroit area focused on the automotive industry in order to grow sales in the Great Lakes region. The successful candidate will have a strong track record driving sales of semiconductors to large accounts (Automotive Tier Ones). S/he will be results oriented, driven by excellence and work well in a matrix environment with peers in sales, product development, marketing, services and supply chain. This Regional Sales Manager should be able to influence at all levels throughout of the customer organization and internally to the Company. S/he will have the capacity to guide and develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry and distill this understanding into simple, straightforward Company solutions that make a clear difference to the customer’s business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing, managing and maintaining new and existing account relationships while delivering on aggressive sales objectives and Design Wins.
  • Proven skills in creating and executing strategy; creative thinking; problem solving; providing thought leadership and managing relationships with key executives.
  • Capability to work effectively in a highly matrixed organization.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 8 years of Technical Semiconductor Sales Experience selling into the Automotive industry
  • Strong selling skills to all levels of our customers’ organizations
  • Regional Sales Manager that has senior management, engineering and executive level relationships at key customers
  • Experience in navigating a multinational corporate environment to be effective in customer program execution and roadmap alignment
  • Experience communicating key customer requirements to a US-based Semiconductor company

 

Degree:  BS in Engineering/Computer Science
