A global developer of custom engineered and application specific products and solutions is seeking a GM Account Manager to join its young and growing team.  The qualified candidate will have three plus years in selling Electronic/Electrormechanical products to General Motors. They will serve as a key representative of the Company to the customer.  This person will support the Business Development Manager and will manage all commercial aspects of the relationship and seeks to maximize Company’s sales and profitability.  They will lead commercial, timing and technical topics essential to the product development cycle with Program Management and Engineering to meet and exceed customer program requirements and expectations.

Position Responsibilities that will support new business pursuits by:

  • Maintaining and building strong customer relationships
  • Spend time at customer developing relationships with various disciplines, gather information, and understand the competitive environment
  • Negotiate beyond price, creatively promote value of Company’s solutions
  • Work with Business Development Manager on tactical executions

Manage awarded and production commercial business by:

  • Tracking and updating all customer pricing, tooling and ED&D
  • Manage internal business management system (forecasting and pricing)
  • Support account receivables invoicing and P.O. adjustments

Quote all commercial and technical changes:

  • Lead quote process, including kick-off, development and customer presentation
  • Establish target pricing with Quote Manager
  • Review financial models and profitability with Business Development Manager

Degree:  Bachelor degree in Engineering or Business, strong business acumen

Salary:  Base plus bonus and car allowance and great benefits
